Preliminary-Evaluation-Question Seven

Looking forward towards your main task, what do you feel you have learnt about the production process that will help you as you approach the full product?

I feel that the development for the preliminary task was okay but I did come across some mistakes that I personally made as I went along. I have found that time management was a key element for the completion of the task. As I progressed throughout the task I felt as though I was behind schedule and this was due to the fact I had a lack of urgency to get my photography complete quickly and as soon as possible.

I believe that this affected my final product a lot and also feel that if i had given myself a time plan to follow in order to complete all tasks at the correct time I would have produced a product to a much higher standard. The one thing I feel that I would have wanted to change is the photos that I have used. I feel that this also affected the fine details which I would have been able to review with peers and my teachers such as, using a professional boarder line and using photography with students in to make the overall product look more attractive. I have learnt a lot about the production process also throughout this preliminary task.

One of the biggest contributes to this is the fact that this was the first year in which I have studied Media and have there for never come across a production process before. I have learnt about all of the steps that are necessary to create a professional standard magazine. I feel as though this absence of knowledge has affected me during the preliminary task but as i have now obtained this I will take this into the main task and use everything I have learnt from the preliminary task.
