Front Cover Developmental Draft/Self Evaluation & Peer Evaluation
When creating my first developmental draft, this is what I came up with. I am going to evaluate it myself and also get my peers to evaluate it so that I can imporve my first draft and make it more attractive for what the audience wants. I will find out what improvements are needed from my peers and use there ideas within my second draft/Final version. I will also keep the ideas which the audience thinks are good and attractive to make my final draft the best possible.

Although the layout of the product it self is appealing and follows the codes and conventions of a magazine. The images that are placed on the bottom left of the front cover could be moved further left so that the key image is not covered by them. Also the cover-lines on the right of the key image could be moved further to the right to follow the codes and conventions of a magazine. The font colours and font style used are suitable as they stand out form the background of the magazine making it easy for the audience to read.

I think that Kieran's magazine layout is very effective. It is clear and attractive to the audience, which I think would influence them into reading his magazine. I like how Kieran has put an outline around the masthead, I think that it improves the appeal to the audience. I think that the borders around the pictures are very effective as they split them from the rest of the copy and make them stand out. I think that Kieran could improve his work by changing the colour of the copy, a suitable colour that could used is white with a red outline, the same as the masthead. At this moment in time the copy is lost in the red, making it hard to see, which could detere the audience from reading the magazine. Overall, I think that the layout of the cover page is good, if he was to make the slight alterations, I believe that his work would improve and the magazine would appeal to the audience more.

I think that this product has some good points, these are things such as; the front cover is not over-crowded. It is also clear to read the information, this is because of the font colours and style that are used. This also makes it easy to read the information that is being displayed. I like the use of the 'free' sticker because this is what you see on many professional magazines that are free. One bad element on this front cover is that the photos and the text is overlapping the main focus of the background image.
